A Little Joy Initiative, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization based in California. Here at A Little Joy Initiative, we strive to spread the feeling of Joy to those who need it most. Through a variety of charitable activities, we hope to especially support children in difficult circumstances in any way—even if just by spreading "a little joy."

We work on many exciting projects to help improve the lives of others and are proud of the progress we continue to make. Learn more about what we do, who we help and how we work everyday to promote positive change.
UPDATE
APRIL 29, 2021
It has been a few months since the last update but it doesn’t mean things have been slow or quiet! Our tutors have been continuing helping young students in need and new tutors have been signing up steadily. Thousands of tutoring hours have been provided to underserved K-8 students all over the country. We are very appreciative of your generosity in reaching out to help. You may not see or feel the impact of your dedicated service but I know for sure, it is already significant and well worth it.

The pandemic has been on the decline in the U.S. but there is no guarantee yet that we have completely beaten the COVID-19 virus. With vaccinations and protective measures, we can hope for brighter days ahead, not just in the U.S. but also everywhere else in the world. Unfortunately, due to the unexpected rise of COVID-19 infection in Vietnam in February, we could not extend the yearly gift-giving to students for Tet (Lunar New Year).

Nonetheless, A Little Joy’s online tutoring program earned recognition for our charitable work through a donation from The Benevity Community Impact Fund. This could only happen through your selfless contribution in tutoring young children during the challenging time for everyone since April last year. Our special thanks to you all!

We need YOUR help more than ever to provide relief for those who are extraordinarily burdened by this global pandemic. It only takes a little time to make a big difference!
FREE ONLINE TUTORING
With this initiative, our goal is to help low-income parents and students grades K-8 get through the school year during these challenging times. Gaps in education and resources are larger than ever and we hope to close these gaps to the best of our ability.
Many of our online tutors come from Stanford University and other reputable institutions. Low-income families from all over the U.S. are encouraged to enroll and be matched to a tutor!
